Here is how much politicians “weigh”
Berisha wins. But the opposition does not believe the figures
POLL / Party leaders decide to reveal the points they obtained
“Berisha is the most preferred politician among Albanians.” That is what the PD Secretary General declared yesterday, after having strongly insisted during a press conference on Thursday that the poll results for the leading politicians be made public. But even before the echo of Shehu’s appeal had fully faded, later that evening the main opposition leaders, for the first time, told Gazeta Shqiptare the exact figures from the poll and, at the same time, expressed serious reservations about its credibility. What is notable is that the poll placed the Democratic leader Berisha in the “triumphant” first position with 74% of those tested, while after him came PAD secretary Arben Imami with 39%.

Shots in Tirana: policeman wounded
He was chasing a gang of robbers
TIRANA- They had tried to rob a billiards hall, but instead of money they had only taken the owner’s bag. Then, after a late-night phone call, the police siren followed the group of young robbers. Shots again, but this time not merely to scare them.

“Taking houses is unconstitutional”
Families complain to the highest state authorities
“The implementation of article 10 in the law on the return and compensation of property has been violently violated, seriously affecting our interests. The state must not threaten former owners..." This is, in essence, the protest of the association of "owners" of houses with former owners. As soon as it was created, it sent a statement, as well as the newspaper, to the highest state authorities and to 26 different deputies regarding the conflicts they have expressed from the perspective of former house owners.

On his return, Berisha will make a visit to Montenegro, where he will sign several agreements between Albania and Malësia
The prisoner and the cow
Twice in a cell for livestock theft
Elbasan, escapes but steals again
ELBASAN- He had escaped from prison, where he had been sentenced for stealing cows. But two days later, he was back in prison again; this time the very unusual story belongs to a man from Elbasan. Almost a year earlier he had been sentenced to one year and a half in prison for stealing livestock. But he cannot help it; he ends up in prison because of the profession and the objects he stole: cows.
Over the past five months he had escaped from prison with another cow. After two months, thank God, the fugitive from the prison cell, again with a cow, committed a second theft. Yesterday morning an entire unit of villagers was set “in motion” across the village hills looking for the cow. With cows in hand, the police, wasting no time, detained him once more.
He had thought that after the escape he would live peacefully, but not for long. Before the statement, answering for cow thefts, the man, rich in cows, was once again in a cell. The story was not the first involving this character. And over the years, he had developed a special bond with cows. The question remains: what drove a man to return to prison for escape and theft.
