KRUJË - TV Shijaku is conquering Krujë. It looks as if time has gone back many years when you see hundreds of people [unclear in source: “mbitaracandarësne ragullojnë”] adjusting television antennas. They “toil” tirelessly among piles of wires, climbing and pliers to put together something that can “thi-thet” several television waves. And they are making this effort not for Italian, French, or any other television, but simply for Shijaku television. Only in recent days have they seen—albeit unclearly—a new television channel that “speaks” Albanian. Curious, but also—why not—a little surprised, they began each night to be greeted by the announcer: “Good evening from Shijaku Television.” Although the second program is quite limited in duration, interest in it is considerable. It begins broadcasting at 20:00 and continues until midnight, including a short “trip” around Shijak and its surrounding villages, featuring the problems of everyday life, interviews, and artistic activities.
