But this time the matter is different: the little girl will not go back. “I’d rather be in an orphanage,” she says. And it seems this recipe worked for Xhemile Hasa, who lived beyond a century. Hasa died on Monday in the city of Durrës at the age of 108. She was born in Dibër on 15 February 1888. Her relatives say that she was almost never ill and, until the final days of her life, in a small house in the city of Durrës, she remained able to work.
