A gift flag for Leka I

History LEZHE- For 60 years in a row a flag, perhaps a unique copy in Albania, was proclaimed during the last century. Res. Më përtejmë e mbretit Zog ai ka shërbyer për oficerët e mbretërisë dhe daton në vitin 1936. The rare flag has these days been given to the minister of the royal court, Abedin Mulosmani, by a citizen of Lezha. A rare and surprising story accompanied by a flag of importance, it is now destined to “travel” as a gift to Johannesburg, addressed to Leka I. The flag is an embroidered tapestry measuring 60 by 40 centimeters and depicts King Zog standing. The scene, they say. 54 years old, tells the daring adventures of this flag. His father was an officer in the royal army and the flag had belonged to him. He had it from 1945, when he was seized by the Hoxha regime. Among the old things of the house and other family memories, his father left the flag as it was. They hid it in one of the unknown folds. Later it remained quiet for years and was hidden in the hands of the communists. They were afraid because they felt watched by the secret police. And despite the fear, the desire to preserve the flag was stronger than that. In winter they would bring the flag into the house so it would not be damaged by humidity. Mulosmani thanked the faithful villager for giving the flag, a precious gift for the son of the king, Leka I. Irfan Rama

He emigrates like Shehu and returns like Monte Cristo

The man from Elbasan is reborn after six years He emigrates like Shehu and returns like Monte Cristo ELBASAN - For 6 consecutive years the family had mourned him as if he were dead while still alive. But a phone call from the other end of the world brought his voice only a month ago, reviving the “Happy end” story of the Monte Cristo from Elbasan, who left 6 years ago for emigration. “Shehu can never contact his family through letters or money. Hurt in his attempts to seek ‘maturity’, Shehu chose the one that his final stage in Canada showed. It was this extreme separation from the globe from where he arrived and the unexpected phone call: ‘I am fine, I will come soon’. These were the words Shehu said to his family on these hot May days, bringing back first confusion and then joy to a house where for 6 years he had been silent. Only three days ago “Shehi” set foot on the soil of his city, thus becoming the most discussed person among the citizens of Elbasan. “I will build my life here.” Thus says the man lost in drink, in his sorrows and in another way of living in the capital, stretched out by the departure of 8 years.
