TIRANA - Albanians are getting acquainted with the ballot paper. Presented yesterday in a TV spot, it explains in detail how things will work on 26 May. As set by law, the ballot paper divides the candidate (on the left) and the electoral subjects (on the right) into two parts. The vote is considered valid when only the name of the candidate or the one being voted for is chosen, and above it are all the names of the other candidates.

Cekja dissatisfied with Meksi and Dokle
Comedy contest: Lushnja and Berat on stage
Last night’s restrained humor: accompanied by song and ballet
TIRANA - The comedy contest continues tonight in the capital. Last night the troupes of Lushnja and Berat took the stage. This time humor came to life in the form of a comic variety show through sketches and was accompanied by song and ballet. However, the wind of change that has swept across Albania seems not to have reached humor yet. The troupes on stage again brought to the fore, toward Albanian realization, banality, and even accompanied it. Last night Cekja (Sejfulla Myftari) was presented and very aggressive, together with the Kuçovë actress who was his stage partner. Through humor, the Berat performers brought moments before the audience that earned not exactly sporadic applause. It was no different with Cekja in the role of the Italian sheep-major, aging, as he tried to say some broken Albanian phrase, or in the role of the madman and the wise madman [?], and the protagonist Cekja was realized wonderfully. And who could not laugh at Sejfulla’s drunk and tipsy [?], as if ready to catch fire from Paran? But strong was Marjaria Kondi from the Tirana troupe, who trapped Cekja well. Last night, in a wild and noisy way - Meksi and Dokle were not spared from the Berat troupe’s barbs either.
Although it opened the evening, the humor of the Lushnja troupe was rather unimpressive; strangely enough, under the name and direction of Ismet Ramo, Nergjizi mixed comic elements into a family with a very dissatisfied and quarrelsome woman, who was not even cheered by a gift, with a slightly frivolous girl and a hurt family head. It went one way and then another, with an unruly and ill-mannered boy. Although the audience had the feeling, and someone might have thought from the punch lines, that only through its point of view could serious family problems be solved, such as relations with the mother-in-law, love with the neighbor, and one of their debates could also help to make a deputy. On stage, the head of the family took a lot of time and the singer Luan Hoxha as well as Elida Korresh, who for a few moments brought us above us and over time, even though they were in front of a rather cold audience.
The real issue is the professional revue of Fier, which under the direction of Koço Devole brings to the competition “In the Name of Humor,” created by poet Koço Devole.

Sick livestock: Here is the truth of the article
Sick livestock:
Here is the truth
of the article
TIRANA - “The news published in Gazeta Shqiptare about a new infection that has entered Albania and has mainly affected the Korça district is inaccurate with regard to the characterization of the disease as a zoonosis.” With this wording, the Ministry of Agriculture chose to deny the news published a day earlier in our newspaper. While fully understanding the concern of this Ministry and the Veterinary specialists, we would like to clarify that in our article about the livestock disease we do not speak at all about the transmission of the virus that has affected animals to humans, or as it is known in technical language, zoonosis. We could not have allowed ourselves such a thing as long as the exact diagnosis of the disease has not yet been determined. In our article we mentioned a phrase of this kind, and we think that this was rightly the reason for the local authorities’ blocking of the meat and milk market in Korça.
The aim of our article, for which the state Ministry has not been the spreading of panic or the encouragement of false alarms, is that we ourselves made it quite clear that yesterday’s news was under control. It had simply an informative and awareness-raising character, and we believe it serves the problem that has arisen. News of the existence of the infection may help, by knowing its spread, so that if signs of it are also observed in other areas, measures can be taken and people will know how to act, by informing the relevant authorities so that any possible source can be blocked.
