LEZHË - "Nano, we won't let you pass to Shkodër." Yesterday several armed people blocked, from the early hours of the morning, the road to the northern city where the Socialist leader had planned a meeting with supporters of his party. At 11:15 the ambush was moved to the city of Lezhë, where armed men completely blocked traffic. Eyewitnesses claim that among them there were also many people equipped with anti-tank weapons and grenades. But earlier in the day Nano had canceled the election rally because of political commitments in Tirana. Nevertheless, before PS supporters in Shkodër, the Minister of Defense Shaqir Vukaj spoke. Vukaj has never doubted the victory of the opposition in the elections of 29 June and predicted a broad coalition government after them.

MINISTER ÇELO
TIRANA - "The Albanian police, even though it has been hit hard by the wave of crime, counting one after another and hundreds of wounded, still finds the strength and has organized itself to restore the order and calm desired." This is what the Ministry of Interior stated in an appeal, through which it calls on the entire Albanian population to help and stand by the police so that it can do its duty and ensure peace.

Court after the elections.
Fear of politics
TIRANA - The election result has frightened the justice system as well. A reversal or change of political colors could lead to major changes in the justice system too. "I think there will be changes. And I am convinced that politics will again not leave justice in peace" - says the chairman of the Tirana Court, Qazim Gjonaj, who spoke thus about "the fate of the post-election court." Speaking about the need for reconstruction, he fears a purge if the political colors change. Gjonaj is not against changes in justice institutions, but in his view they must be made only within the framework of the political independence of this system.

Vranicki in Tirana: "Reconciliation is needed even after the elections"
The former chancellor in his last return before the vote
TIRANA - In the spirit of national reconciliation and after the elections. This was the message given by former Austrian Chancellor Franz Vranicki during his latest visit to the Albanian capital. "The international community will be by your side" he again confirmed, the OSCE special envoy said in his meetings with the Prime Minister of the ? President Berisha. The senior European diplomat expressed satisfaction with the progress made and has made an agreement on cooperation between Albanian political forces". It would be a catastrophe for you if the elections were not recognized" Franz Vranicki emphasized during the meeting with members of the CEC where he also learned about the current results of the work done. The cooperation plan between "Alba" and the OSCE observers will be implemented precisely on election day.

Godo on the pact: "It's a farce"
INTERVIEW / The PR leader speaks
TIRANA - Sabri Godo denounces the Rome pact. "It was an invented farce between the two big parties". With this argument, the republican leader goes further when he says that in the next parliament, the political situation in the country will remain the same and tense, divided between the two big or small parties. According to the PR leader, what was done in Rome was a prepared scenario that did not take into account the demands of the smaller parties for proportional representation.

"THE HIGHER IT IS, THE BETTER"
TIRANA - Rallies, debates with the public and on television, then everyone says they are clearly on Tuesday and that they deserve the vote and not their opponents — all these displays have set aside another aspect of the campaign, the visual one. It seems that this time the parties have not had much time to prepare, and even put up, their election posters. In Tirana, which has now gained a reputation as the quietest city in the country, unlike other times only a few walls have been damaged. The iron poles that rise up and that a few days ago seem to have been enough for the multitude of parties that now easily enter without permission, but also for the numerous NGO associations, which at the moment are gripped by poster-hanging fever.
Only one over another is the city sold as filled with election advertising. Beneath dozens of posters pasted one over another on different streets. As a central staff of the electoral headquarters[?] for survival has been interested in deciding that the fortunes of a wall can change "weather" within a few days. We have such an example before our eyes on the right, the first party poster dedicated on a white wall on Durrës Street for the scene in the center. Sali Berisha hero. A day later another one is visible, with pastel paint and the rush of another head. Movement. After that, posters were bitten for the wall that had already been taken by an electoral poster of PAD pasted over the first two slogans and a small PAD notice calling on the people of Nd[?] with elections for Albania, "the newest alternative". The next day the PBD poster no longer existed; in its place was the portrait of a woman wearing a beige shirt, with glasses. Legality. In this state the wall has remained until the moment a poster-hanger came by and pasted. It is not known on what day it was presented to make the big wall until Sunday, if not close to it. The photographers[?] who are doing it beside was precisely an example of the failure of apparently all posters in color that are pasted one on top of the other and not pushed aside by another political one within a few moments. Two activists were hanging the manifesto of Leka Zogu, while so openly before, surely. Jokingly said, the political battle of poster-hanging and posting only summed up an old slogan: The higher it is, the better.

Gang battle: "Leave the houses"
Vlorë, posters in the Çole neighborhood
Gang battle:
"Leave the houses"
VLORË - The war between gangs is taking on a frightening shape in Vlorë, according to the news agency Enter, after the exchange of gunfire on Tuesday afternoon in the Çole neighborhood, in Vlorë, two people in a local bar had posted a notice warning neighborhood residents to leave their homes. "Otherwise we will bear no responsibility whatsoever." Enter cites its sources as saying it saw two people who had entered a house nearby, which was being "accompanied" by armed men moving around in four cars.
The clash between armed members of both gangs now seems to have taken other forms, if what was written in the bomb notice, as Enter learned, is indeed the case. On Tuesday afternoon, armed people, whom Enter says belonged to two groups, one led by Zen and the other by another person named Xhevit, were involved. Although the exchange of fire continued for a long time, there were no victims, apart from two burned cars. Caught in the middle of the fire were also the forces of "Albes", which, although placed in combat position, did not intervene in this conflict. The next day, although calm and without any armed clash, was worrying for hundreds of citizens, residents of this neighborhood. As reported by Enter, a person posted an appeal near the Rinia club, asking "all the innocent people of the Çole neighborhood to leave their homes for two days together with their children and relatives". "Otherwise we bear no responsibility," the agency quotes the free notice signed by "Kundër".
Nano: "Fino may change the time"
The battle over voting time
TIRANA - Berisha does not change the voting time, but the Prime Minister has the right to change even the "movement of the Globe" by getting Albania's clock ready for 21, to start at 23. And so the voting, although it will close at 21, is expected to be kept at 20. The chairman of the PS speaks with complete truth at the moment of setting a lot of irony around the date, without having[?] the preposition. "Changing local time is the competence of the Prime Minister and it is his right to do it. So we do not take away this right for him to set his other clock as well" - Fatos Nano declared yesterday. The Socialist leader Fatos Nano was in the Moldovan newspaper[?], which came to Albania to follow the elections, who suggested to a member of the Election Commission that it be done as it was done in Moldova," the prime minister pushed etc[?]. And the journalist's proposal was not long in going ahead equipped with all the good things of politics that demands at any cost that the doors close without one more darkness. And so, by changing the time, both those who ask for the ballot boxes to close earlier and those who ask for 21:00 will be satisfied.
