Caution over aid
TIRANA - Yesterday the government of Albania urgently summoned the Italian ambassador accredited in Tirana and presented him with the verbale note of protest concerning the article published in the newspaper “Il Manifesto” under the title “A People for Sale”. According to the Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ambassador was informed that the Albanian government “reacts with deep indignation to such offensive insinuations that in an unacceptable way affect the honor and dignity of the Albanian people”. In its note, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs the ambassador that the article in question “seriously undermines the patriotic feelings of the Albanian people and, moreover, contains condemnable racist tones”. The reaction of the Albanian government was published yesterday in the daily “Rilindja Demokratike”, which reprinted the article from the Italian daily “Il Manifesto”. Meanwhile, the Greek government yesterday asked the Albanian government to extradite Albanian citizen Pellumb Nako so that he could be accused of participating in the organization of the murder of Greece’s former deputy minister of public order, Athanasios Vellios. “Athens is playing a game that goes beyond the capture of criminals and wanted persons. The request for Nako’s extradition is entirely unfounded and was issued solely to prevent his arrival in Tirana” - sources close to the Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told “GSH” yesterday.

But how could such a large difference be gained? The specialists themselves, with a very simple calculation, can provide an exact answer. FOOTBALL
TIRANA - It had only happened once before at this stadium, and everyone probably still remembers it. Not only because at that time, strangely enough, the only ones competing with shirts in Tirana were the players themselves, but also because the last match played under the stadium’s powerful lights was accompanied by a special atmosphere. In yesterday’s clash, Tirana managed to win after a better performance.
