How pyramid schemes cheated: Here is what the experts think

TIRANA - How did the famous pyramid schemes work? After suffering losses, everyone has understood that in a game it is impossible for everyone to be a winner. The rise of the pyramid schemes began with a game called “Fitorja”. With 9,000 lekë, you could enter this game, which promised you 3 million at the end. But to climb from the first level of the Pyramid to its top, you had to find 4 other people. Then each of them had to find 4 more people, and so on. The more participants you had below you, the closer you got to the top of the pyramid. On page 3 Sudja

Smuggling is also trying to move into Lezhë

50 people from Shkodër caught LEZHË - Another smuggling spot has been discovered. After being checked by Albanian police in Velipojë, the traffickers decided to unload their goods at Tale in Lezhë. The police of this city thus spotted 50 people from Shkodër, who later confirmed to the police that they were heading to Tale to unload a ship carrying contraband cigarettes. In fact, the ship was unable to reach the port of Tale, as those on board may have been alerted from shore that the police were on alert in these parts too. On page 6

DP, Tirana branch assembly TIRANA - Berisha launches a fierce attack on Meidani. “He has bowed to Gligorov and has done nothing for the Albanians.” In a speech he delivered yesterday at the Tirana Branch Conference, the DP leader spared no accusations against the current head of state. “His life will be just as short as that of the gangs of Çerrik,” Berisha said, according to whom Albania is now threatened by a series of Balkan nationalisms that are clinging to its body. Buried in mines, he blows himself up

An original way to take one’s own life LEZHË - A tragic end for the attacker who targeted the villa of the former Laç chief of criminal investigations. At two in the morning, after covering his body with mines, Agustin Gjoni, 27, from Zajmja in Lezhë, killed himself. His body was found mangled by his family, who had heard the powerful explosion in a corner of the yard. “There had been constant threats and pressure,” one family member said. “So this may have been one of the reasons for the suicide. He had heard that they were being held hostage by Mijo Çela, one of his friends, and such threats had also reached Agustin.” Gjoni was one of the four planners of the terrorist attack on the villa, which was associated with the former Laç chief of criminal investigations, Mijo Çela. All four were from villages in Lezhë and had undertaken to blow up the building. As far as is known, he had loaded several weapons with mines, as well as several other weapons. The Selim brothers also died in the explosion; they were guarding their brother during the night, but in this case the [?] had been sent to carry out the attack by a powerful gang leader, while the former head of criminal investigations himself had sought revenge. Agustin Gjoni decided to kill himself after he had been held hostage for 20 days, along with another accomplice in the crime. a.b.
