TIRANA - The mystery surrounding the “Vefa” transfers is being unravelled. Sources at the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office report that the Company had transferred sums into her account amounting to almost 7 million dollars. The transfer was made on two dates in July. The first time, the woman transferred 1 billion and 500 million drachmas, while six days later she also transferred 700 million lire. The woman who received the sums deposited them in the form of one-month term-deposit contracts as well as in a current account. Thus, the former employee was not entitled to withdraw anything for 30 days, or to withdraw it without receiving bank interest. Although not yet fully confirmed, it is understood that the woman who had the sum at her disposal had worked for a long time in the finance department of the “Vefa” company. The transfer documents stated “settlement of obligation, to be withdrawn,” as “Hollindëgu” owed the woman a certain sum. What could the former employee have done for the company for it to owe her such a huge sum? According to the information, she insistently requested that the money be withdrawn within the limits... So we sat down to watch Nano on television on Sunday evening, along with a good part of his Government, after the meeting at the Rome Conference. Among them was Spiro Ksera, their delegate, but more than that, their successful activist in Rome. To our amusement, we heard a few strange words that were neither Albanian, nor Italian, nor English, nor French, but something mixed.
