Socialist leader Pandeli Majko said at a press conference some time ago that rapid changes had to be made within September, otherwise his replacement would be sought. But Teta does not seem particularly impressed by these ultimatums and, referring somewhat ironically to various statements from the head of the coalition, said that there had now been so many deadlines that he could not remember them all. “But I know that governments have a four-year mandate, and I am part of a government with a mandate,” the minister said, apparently making clear that he answers only to Nano, not to the demands of the parties. The minister also repeated his earlier accusations and warnings that the commissioners had violated the law on foreigners by failing to check any of those who had come to Albania and set up their businesses in our country.

Socialists do not confirm TIRANA - “Bleta? Yes, I too have heard that he will be dismissed.” These were all the statements heard yesterday in political circles—or, more precisely, at the SP headquarters and the Government offices—but until late in the evening nothing official or definitive had been able to confirm the departure of the head of Customs from his post. It seems that difficult times are once again in store for the director of the Albanian customs service, following the repeated successes of the Fiscal Council, and then the demands of the Socialists Majko and Koci, who based their accusations on a dossier that Bleta himself had sent to the Presidency, which had appeared in the media several days earlier, at the time of the Parliament. Pyramid auction: land receives no bids Around 35 million lekë collected from the sale of former companies' assets TIRANA - The second auction for the sale of assets belonging to pyramid firms has ended. The amount of money collected was much lower than that raised at the first auction: only 3.37 million lekë. The items sold were trailers, refrigerators, office equipment and household electrical appliances. At the conclusion of the second tender, for which 134 catalogues were sold and 25 bids received, 12 winners were announced. Among the buyers who took part in and won the tender were seven creditors.
