PS: Nano has three months
The Prime Minister: You are making me dig a pit; Meta: Then work 18 hours a day
TIRANE - The Presidium of the Socialist Party decided yesterday that the Nano government should continue working for another three months, a period during which it will be assessed. This is the decision that emerged from the presidium meeting held after lunch, and not the resignation of the government, which had been requested by several ministers in the Nano cabinet and implied by the prime minister himself at the last KPD meeting. After yesterday’s meeting with the members of the presidium behind closed doors, Nano declared to journalists that those who are asking for his resignation are “digging a pit” for him. This statement drew a response from the secretary general, Ilir Meta, who asked the prime minister to work 18 hours a day. In this spirit, the presidium seems to have left open a new possibility for reshaping, but without fundamentally changing the leadership structure.

Respect at least for the dead
FOR GAZO SOLLINO
SHIHA - May God keep Gazo Sollino among the good, the man who served his hometown with passion and honesty to the very end, yet even his tragic death did not spare him from dirty politics and the petty deals of those who do not wish to respect even a man’s funeral. Yesterday, at the burial ceremony, there was no shortage of bitter remarks toward institutions and people who wanted to appear grief-stricken, while having been absent during the difficult days.
