Teodor KEKO Let us speak more concretely, leaving aside the empty talk. Yesterday I met a friend of mine from Northern Europe. For seven years he has been working hard with hospitals, to build hospitals, outpatient clinics and other things of this kind, with funds from around the world, not loans! Doctor Saliu sent this man to the South, and this man is working there. Even when we have caused chaos, he has been here. I know that he has become a little Albanian and think very much like us. When Saliu made a mistake, this man told me, HE WAS WRONG. Whereas yesterday he told me something else: I went to the South and could not find a single one of my friends from the past seven years. They have all gone abroad. I barely found an interpreter. This means that neither this government could kindle hope. The fact is that after Nano came to power, many people ran away, not because there is repression here, but because this bad government did not offer any signs of hope, and the opposition offered no signs of peace either. Where are we heading?, someone might ask. Only God knows! But voting day for the Constitution is approaching, and for no leader of either the government or the opposition, for no constitution-maker, to come out with a concrete editorial in the press setting out a transparent position on a fundamental issue is not only shameful, but criminal. These very fugitives, who hide when people look for them and blow smoke when nobody pays them any attention, are killing Albanians’ hope and making them risk everything in their search for peace and work. This class of spineless politicians must be removed once and for all from the Albanian political stage so that we can build our lives in our own country! On this point, I personally agree with the President: cleanliness is beneficial in this country! But to clean up the country, the filth must be removed. By now, they are well known!
