The road from Italy to Kavajë How the 13-year-old girl escaped the paedophiles They abducted her from school in Kavajë and forcibly sent her to Italy “They abducted me as I was leaving school with my friends.” This is what the underage girl from Kavajë confided to the Italian Carabinieri, bursting into tears. She miraculously escaped a paedophile network after being abducted about a month ago. Stopped two days ago together with her companion, the girl initially introduced him as her fiancé. After they were taken to the Matera Police Headquarters, where they were detained, a document was signed for the girl’s companion to have him expelled from Italy. Meanwhile, the girl underwent the bureaucratic procedures, and the Carabinieri gave her shelter and assistance. After earning the girl’s trust, the Carabinieri told her that her fiancé was now far away. On page 16

Unrest: Police in Action
