To other people’s “concern” for the emperor, he replied: “He is the best foreign minister in Europe, and he will betray me precisely on the day I deserve it.” That is a legend. What Goethe said about him is true, however. Only Napoleon could choose his new, talented and ambitious aides, and for that reason they did not betray him, or betrayed him very little. Of course, there is no Napoleon, nor should anyone expect one from either Berisha or Nano. Listening to the stories told after the Socialists’ KPD meeting, and looking at the new government lineup as reported in “Koha Jonë,” it does not take much cunning to understand that Nano has applied what is called the theory of domination. More precisely, the vision of domination. This applies not only to the way the KPD meeting was conducted, but also to the list of the new government. Average analysts, seeing among its members the names of some former opponents of Nano, think that the Prime Minister once again proved that he respects even his political opponents for their mistaken decisions (two days before June 29, it still had not decided to join the coalition, failing to grasp its own future); in any case, it is a party that has been sustained only by its names, or by its public figures, as they are otherwise called. This logic is undeniable, because you cannot be a party without a newspaper, an office, and supporting resources. This means that the PAD will remain for a long time a party whose maximum potential will be around 7–10 percent. That is the best-case scenario. If the PS cared about its own future, taking bad times into account too, its best ally would be the PAD alone. Consequently, the PS leadership should understand the fate of the liberal democrats more clearly than the PAD does. In practical terms, this judgment holds when calculating the chances not only for the next four or five years, during which the PS will be dominant for various reasons, including the elections. But the PS has no interest, and will never have any, in governing alone. All single-colour governments share the same fate. They do not last more than six months to a year. Whoever wins the game will, for some time, keep throwing sand into the balloon for six months to a year, until they throw golden sand into it—that is, the party leader. Let us turn to the practical matter. By removing the head of the PAD, Çeka, Nano is effectively dealing a devastating blow to his ally and turning the PAD into nothing. Who benefits from this? The theory of domination is clearly revealed. But, as we said above, the theory of domination should be used against opponents, never against allies. A leader of average tactical ability would never make such a mistake. Such a mistake becomes even more imaginable if one considers a practical example like this. What is it that opposes everyone? He makes demands of the coalition. His own party does as he says. Other people at the top get a post each and, for pragmatic reasons, are ready to split the party, turning it into a Lapoparti as well. This grim reasoning, which may have been devised and created by the PS itself, is the reasoning of those who cannot see more than two days ahead. In a way, this kind of logic from a PS leader would undoubtedly be just that. The blow would be even more severe if Çeka were to give a speech in Parliament opposing the decision and raising the issue of smuggling files and people ...? This would destabilize the government of this coalition and quickly conceal the decision by leading to new elections. These, in the end...? So that the PS can win. But what are Nano’s mistakes that might, at this point, justify this article’s argument? Looking closely at the coalition, one immediately realizes that most of the share has gone to the PAD. The PS’s share is noticeable across all the posts. This cannot satisfy the PSD. It is an extension of the PS, not only here and not only in European chancelleries, but also in the future. The PSD’s attempt at a move was, as the PS has gradually and openly declared, in both good times and difficult times. Besides, the PSD’s role does not help the PS’s left wing. While the PBDNJ will always line up with the winners, it has no political value. The Albanian PAD... accurately the vision of domination. All the more reason to explain the rectangular-signature type that will put an opponent, and not the destruction of someone else, into their hands, only to sum it up with a punch to one side while the opponent has hands and voices. Agim Ajazi, from Sauk, climbed onto the second floor of the Yugoslav Embassy and tore down the embassy flag, throwing it down and stamping on it. The officer on duty warned him several times, but the young man from Sauk, Tirana, did not stop, even though two shots were fired into the air. The police intervened immediately and detained the 18-year-old, who confirmed that he had carried out the act for the sole reason that he hated the Serbs who were oppressing his Kosovar brothers.
