Nano sent the president yesterday morning the formulation of the new government with only four names: Pandeli Majko, Musa Ulqini, Ylli Vejsiu and Elmaz Sherifi. In this list everyone else is left out, according to the formulation he had presented to the president two days earlier. Nano is thus challenging the head of state, leaving him the burden of either decreeing or rejecting the government. "The issue is very simple, he can either decree it or reject it. We have sent him the decree to propose the new coalition government," Prime Minister Nano declared yesterday. In fact, relations between the president and the prime minister have become significantly more strained in recent days. According to sources close to the presidency, Meidani has stated that he cannot sign off on names he does not know and that have not been properly consulted.
