Smuggling: Nano strikes at Fino

The Prime Minister on Kosovo: We are asking for NATO military presence in Albania Smuggling: Nano strikes at Fino An heated session in Parliament, but the Government wins unexpectedly the PD votes for the new socialist ministers TIRANA - During yesterday’s proceedings in Parliament, the Prime Minister devoted most of his comments to harsh criticism of Bashkim Fino’s government. Just a few days after the formation of the new cabinet, Nano directly mentioned smuggling and the political responsibilities that, in his view, weigh on segments of the executive. The parliamentary session was accompanied by strong debates and exchanges between representatives of the majority and the opposition. Unexpectedly, the Democratic Party voted for the new socialist ministers, which was interpreted as an unusual development in the political climate of the time. However, this partial support did not ease the political clash that dominated the chamber. Statements made during the session also mentioned Kosovo and the request for NATO military presence in Albania. On page 2

Pëllumbi: Communists are now even older

TIRANA - In a long interview, the First Secretary of the PS, Servet Pëllumbi, has carried out an analysis of the issues of the time. First he attacks the government candidates with broad representatives of power, saying that the government is incapable of getting out of the crisis. Pëllumbi then calls for a solution through dialogue and a political agreement. Finally, he also comments on the relations between the communists and the socialists. “I am in favor of a coalition with all political forces,” he says, rejecting the idea of the return of the communist party as a political model.
