100 million dollars disappear

Çeka: Malaj and Bleka are guilty Minister of Finance: It’s only words The customs scandal, the former minister’s thunderbolt against the government’s idea The new draft budget law in Parliament Weapons are being collected by lottery “Can win a house” TIRANA - The aim of this lottery, which has been called “Let’s collect weapons with a lottery”, is to encourage Albanian citizens to hand over the weapons they possess, in return for a reward payment. Such a thing is intended to be achieved by rewarding them through a lottery. This idea is initially planned to be implemented in the Tirana district. It is presented by the United Nations Development Programme, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Order. To encourage armed Albanians to hand in their weapons, in addition to the cash reward, they may also win valuable items through the lottery, such as a television, video recorder, refrigerator, other household goods, and even a house. According to a press release distributed yesterday by UNDP, a number of valuable objects and materials are also included in this project. They state that the Albanian government will provide a cash donation of 50 million lek. This fund will be supplemented by 100,000 dollars from UNDP, within the framework of its “Weapons for Development” programme. In fact, this project is similar to the one launched in February of this year and was first tested in Gramsh. However, it failed when the weapons collection operation in that district ended. The only weapons that were actually collected in Gramsh were those gathered by police and army forces. Thanks to this programme, a project for the construction of the town’s new secondary school was carried out in Gramsh district. The Kosovo massacre: 30 people killed PRISHTINA - Dozens and hundreds of houses have been burned and dozens more have been looted in several areas of Kosovo.
