Finding yourself among parts of the camp of the minister of order and control from the PS, and closely observing how quickly these people emerged and became their chosen people in Vlora and throughout the South, naturally leads you to another challenge. If you took seriously the denunciation by Minister Konda in the Parliament of Albania about the unjustified spending of 150 million dollars in the fight against speedboats, then the first question is why a simple man like Koçiu could be killed. Not only has he been described as an inevitable failure on the agenda, but it had been announced long before that anyone who tries to touch the momentum of life in Vlora will face severe consequences. We heard the continuation and strengthening of the PS action and the direct clash with the people who brought the new government to power. Recently, in the offices of the minister of order, we have often heard about an "end to the speedboats". However, as it seems, the end of the speedboats did not come as the result of a successful state campaign, but as the effect of another social tension that is turning the city into a dramatic situation. The Socialists and their police will have to give explanations not only for the result of an operation, but for the social cost it has produced. A government that intervenes late, that sees the city only as a security problem and not as a wounded economy, cannot claim to have won the battle. If these policies are not corrected, Vlora will have to face even more serious consequences in the months to come. On page 2
