THOSE WHO WOULD DIE AFTER MILOŠEVIĆ

The New York Times THOSE WHO WOULD DIE AFTER MILOŠEVIĆ By Steven ERLANGER The war is flaring up here as in a family house, with cries that the capital of Kosovo is in danger. Political movement and the idea of a debate with NATO are being raised, while the opposition is accepting a way around what Yugoslavia might be after the war. President Slobodan Milošević, inflamed by the world's outrage over NATO bombs, is now openly calling for an ethnically pure Kosovo. He has made this declaration without feeling the need to disguise it with masterful phrases as in the past, for example through intermediaries and those who replace them. The opposition is weak and fragmented and seems likely to remain so, with a mad, senseless notion of the reason [?] they have embraced. The 20-year-old Gring [?], exoticized as a counterweight, was going against those repressions and showing doubts about the bombings, ending in a defeat and in a trench not of Milošević's making; it is not clear who will replace him. And this is an important hope that should be decided by the Serbs, and not from abroad. The opposition leaders are thus acting under a kind of pressure that also in this house includes a country. The Slavic war leader from the party of the game sketched the right opposing view and oversight that become lonely after the heavy bombings in the city, such as Kursevac [?] On page 8
