12-year-old dies KAVAJË - Belgian NATO troops run over a 12-year-old Albanian child with their vehicle. The servicemen have refused to give their names to the Albanian police, but at their meeting with them they appeared with their prosecutor and police, saying that they would resolve the problem themselves. “They refused to give us their passports and other documents, but stated that the Belgian NATO troops themselves would handle the proceedings against the servicemen,” the head of the Kavajë police station tells Gazeta. Twelve-year-old Ervis Samema was run over on Monday at midday by a truck belonging to the AFOR forces, registration number 77004 AFOR807, which belongs to the Belgian forces. The servicemen used this truck to remove rubbish from the city after cleaning it. On Monday, a group of children had climbed onto the truck’s trailer, enjoying the ride from Kavaja to the place where the rubbish was dumped in the large vehicle. On page 19
