He disagreed with Enver Hoxha's methods and left, submitting his resignation. He was sentenced to death and later to 25 years in prison. After serving 12 years, he was released and worked as a warehouseman.

State seal office catches fire
Electrical fault or...?
The seal-production office of the Ministry of Public Order catches fire.
Firefighters and the intervention of the blue-uniformed officers managed to put out the fire within a few minutes, but in the meantime the machine that produces seals for the entire country was badly damaged. The heads of the Ministry of Public Order have called for an investigation into the causes of the fire at the important office, much prized by forgers. At around 15:00, just before the end of working hours.
