The spokesperson of the Directorate, Vebap Xhindole, stated yesterday in front of the cameras: "We publicly apologize to all persons whom we have unjustly censored, by beating them or taking them to the Directorate of the Elbasan Police. A SERVANTS’
CIRCLE
One more week passed, and the citizens of Elbasan, too, faced public criticism on Thursday, and at a press conference the police commissioner of Elbasan here moved from Bledar’s question, pursued with violence by the police officials of the Elbasan Police Directorate. He also told these present TV stations that he admitted he had been wrong and that it should be corrected in the name of what had happened to him. In the language of the press of the highest respect, Commissioner Koseni did not, however, make an intervention clarifying and publicly acknowledging for all those citizens who have suffered violence from the Elbasan police, in the name of Albanian television, but instead burst out by publicly accusing the journalists of being deliberate provocateurs, in an irresponsible attempt to humiliate them. Stop! Not only disregard for the city’s citizens in turmoil but also for the Assembly and the General Prosecutor’s Office. The four MPs from the Elbasan district denounced the event in question in unequivocal terms and forcefully. Against the commissioner of this city, including the one from Klos who was also being discussed, and where we asked the city police director who he was, the full answer to the question. He acted. It has also been communicated, and now even more so on state TV and before the interview was even over, he lashed out at journalist Edmond Koseni, precisely in order to publicly confront all those journalists who have had inappropriate interventions and escorts in their work. Stop! Not only disregard for the citizens but also a kind of meaningless justification. Last Monday, before he had even seen it, still not, reacting against Albanian commentators who have raised their voices over the case of the escorting of the TV Klan journalist into the premises of the Elbasan police directorate, he angrily and crudely defended Koseni, without knowing, before it had happened, declaring the injustice of the stance and judging it more as a position of his own boss. As a result of the event, on Wednesday a meeting transformed without end was filmed in Elbasan, where the entire city and then the citizens too sought, above all, the culprit who had kept them in the police offices. A first question arose so far: how was Commissioner Koseni so sensitive as to throw a weight of violence at the city, as soon as he was asked in the name of the public and then ended up in a public statement by the police spokesperson? The possible answer is that Koseni must have received orders from his boss, in order to be certified in the same way in his stance toward power. The second answer that arises has to do with the role of the minister for speaking for this city. According to the spokesperson, but not the two citizens of the whole, nor the two family members after the violence that the scandal of Koseni brought about, what happened will not erase what they themselves did in the offices and the place of stay and publicly from his protective violence.
