Just 20 days before the local elections of 8 May 2011, Socialist Party leader Edi Rama will hold his first legal ‘battle’ with the head of government, Sali Berisha. The changes proposed by the government to the law regulating ownership of state land in areas prioritized for tourism sparked heated debates in Parliament yesterday between the opposition and the majority. Socialist deputies claimed that this bill benefits government ministers and even the son and daughter of Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
