The parliamentary investigation commission on 21 January will very soon cease to “function”. The strong pressure two days ago from the US Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg in Tirana, on Prime Minister Sali Berisha, and the support given by the US to the General Prosecutor’s Office through a special meeting in the prosecutor’s office, seems to have put an end to the one-color commission of Albania’s parliament. Sources from the Assembly told GSH that such a thing may happen next week. There will not be a repeated request to the President of the Republic....
