Aldo Bare, described as the leader of the notorious Lushnja gang, won his first battle with Albanian justice, and perhaps the most important one. The Appeals Court for Serious Crimes overturned the life sentence and decided to send Bare’s case back for retrial in the first-instance Serious Crimes court. The decision, signed yesterday by the five-judge panel of the second instance, gives Aldo Bare a green light for a possible release from prison. In fact, this was also implied by his lawyer, Vladimir Meçi, who stressed that “we will look at the possibility...”
