A number of MPs boycotted the process; they are considered opponents of chairman Edi Rama within the PS: Kastriot Islami, Andis Harasani, Arben Malaj, although the latter had been delegated in Delvinë, in his electoral district. It is also understood that former Socialist leader Fatos Nano did not vote yesterday, to elect Tirana delegates. The patriarch of the PS, Dritëro Agolli, did not take part in yesterday’s vote. Contacted by phone, his wife, who is also a PS member, Sadija says the couple arrived late from Korçë, where the writer received the title “Honoris Causa” from the university of that city.
