“You count the money, it’s a good deed!” CORRUPTION, JAIL FOR THE HEADMASTER AND FORMER HEADMASTER OF THE HIGH SCHOOL Prosecutor’s file, the conversations are published that sent behind bars the people who produced fake high school diplomas for 2 million old lek By KLODIANA LALA The prosecutor’s file on the corruption involving school certificates is made public; it sent into custody the headmaster of the “Jani Fullani” Unified High School in Kraste, Bashkim Leti, the former headmaster Kadri Gjoni and Selim Levonja. The Specialised Task Force Unit at the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office has dozens of wiretapped phone conversations between the defendants and the person A.Ç., who denounced the corrupt dealings. The complainant told investigators that he had paid 2 million lek to obtain a high school diploma. The investigation shows that A.Ç. had been issued a regular diploma from the “Jani Fullani” Unified High School and had paid the amount of 2 million lek. Below we will publish parts of the prosecutor’s file that shed light on the corrupt activity, which appears likely to leave the three suspects behind bars.
