Referring to documents and maps of the Greek Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, it is proven that part of the much-discussed territory, which under the agreement signed between the Greek and Albanian governments, was an oil deposit. The Greek side had known this since 1984, when studies were also carried out along the entire western coast of Greece and in the area around the island of Corfu. Also, within the same territory, the studies conducted by the Greek side identified the suitable site for drilling an oil well.
