By BRIKENA SHLLAKU The great tragedy of 9 January 2004 in Vlora is being asked to be forgotten by everyone, both the opposition and the government. “We are more offended, more humiliated and more disappointed than ever.” This is what the relatives of the victims declared yesterday; for 8 years they have continued to search for the missing bodies; they still seek responsibility and a full clarification of the event, which remains shrouded in mystery. “The tears and pain of mothers and fathers, wives and children, for the loved ones of their hearts who drowned and disappeared in the waters of the Ionian Sea, have been trampled. Our tears fell to the ground and were trampled by the state itself,” says the chairman of the 9 January Tragedy Association, Nikoll Milla[?]. He says that the silence and empty promises of government officials regarding the clarification of this event are absurd.
