The head of the “National Association of Reserve Military Personnel of Albania”, Mehdi Pogaçi, in an interview given yesterday to “Gazeta Shqiptare” said that the reform in the army announced by the Minister of Defence, Arben Imami, is not a misfortune. But he adds that “what worries us is the fate of these military personnel because of the very low pensions they receive, being unable to support and feed either themselves or their families,” he says. Mr. Pogaçi, two days ago the Minister of Defence, Arben Imami, announced a reform in the Albanian army, which according to him предусматривает “the elimination of parasitic structures” and as a consequence “the release of 800 people”. How do you comment on this initiative? Is this reform necessary or not in your view? Of course, as far as the media has reflected it, the Minister of Defence’s statements are not very clear.
