SP MPs gathered signatures yesterday to propose the former Minister of Integration, Meksi, for the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania, which means that if Parliament approves it, Meksi must give up her parliamentary mandate. Consequently, on the list of candidates for MPs in the Fier district, this mandate will go to Anduel Xhindi, the son of the Fier district MP who was killed two years ago, on the eve of the campaign for the 2009 elections. Contacted by “Gazeta Shqiptare”, Anduel Xhindi says: “I have been partially informed about this proposal by MPs from the Fier district.” The parliamentary candidate did not agree to say more, awaiting an official decision.
