Debts from the 8 May 2011 campaign, 1 million lek just for plane tickets By DARINA TANUSHI The Socialist Party is about 26 million new lek in debt (a little less than 200 thousand euros), which remain unpaid since the 8 May 2011 elections. In the financial report for 2012, submitted to the Central Election Commission, PS urgently requests the opening of state budget funds for 2013, in order to cover the expenses of the upcoming campaign. PS still owes the media money from the 8 May 2011 campaign, then the debt continues with telephone expenses for the months of September-November, subscriptions to the print media, production of membership cards, but exactly 10 million old lek are owed for plane tickets. Silent as an opposition party, PS, unlike PD, has not been able to build up assets, but has spent more. Over the past year, two donors have put around 16.5 million lek into the party’s budget.
