PD: A staged theatrical scene, smoke screen to raise taxes, pressure on business By KLODIANA LALA For more than three hours, the Prefect of the Vlorë County, Besnik Dervishi, gave explanations to prosecutors from the Serious Crimes Directorate regarding the discovery of a quantity of explosive in his car, which was found as he was entering the outdoor area of the Prime Minister’s Office to park. The former minister in the “Nano” government, throughout his testimony, claimed that the attack against him may be linked to his current position as Prefect of Vlorë. The Prosecutor’s Office officials, who have taken the case in hand, are extremely reserved, considering the investigation “top secret.” Mr. Dervishi himself, contacted by phone by “GSH,” refused to provide details, asking for understanding for the situation in which he finds himself. The Prefect of Vlorë County has been placed under police protection; even when he left the Prosecutor’s Office premises, he was accompanied by at least five Guard officers.
