Cases of violence against women return every day to the urban and rural centers of our country. Yesterday, the Durrës police prevented a crime that could have had terrifying consequences involving the Hoxha family, residents of neighborhood no. 9 in that city. Official sources from the Directorate of Police of this district say that yesterday at midday, around 12:00, they arrested 37-year-old Asllan Hoxha while he was setting fire to his home, inside which were his 3-month pregnant wife and their 15-month-old daughter. It is learned that Hoxha, for reasons of jealousy and because of economic problems, brutally beat his wife and then tried to burn her alive, with the baby she was carrying and the other minor daughter.
