Braçe responds: We want transparency By VALENTINA MADANI Odeta Nishani, the wife of the President of the Republic, for several days has been the target of attacks by the Socialist Party and the reason has been the plot of land on which the Democratic Party’s central headquarters currently stands. But for “Gazeta Shqiptare”, the First Lady of the country says that her family has no connection whatsoever to the ownership of the PD headquarters, considering the allegations, pressure, threats and blackmail that the new majority is exerting on the institution of the President to be low-level slander. Mrs. Nishani has decided to wait another two weeks, to leave it to the left-wing government to investigate all these fabrications, convinced that in the end they will apologize for the accusations made against her family. Odeta Nishani says that from those people she expects anything, even that she may be removed from her job as soon as they come to power. Mrs. Nishani, how did you feel facing the accusations by some PS deputies that the land of the current PD headquarters belongs to your family? I was surprised. I was left astonished when I saw in the newspapers the accusations by the left-wing deputies Erjon Braçe and Pirro Lutaj, claiming that the land on which the PD headquarters was built is supposedly my family’s property.
