The hysteria of domestic crime shows no sign of stopping. Cases of violence against women return every day in the urban and rural centers of our country. Yesterday, the Durrës police prevented a crime that could have had terrifying proportions involving the Hoxha family, residents of neighborhood No. 9 of this city. Official sources from the Regional Police Directorate indicate that at midday yesterday, around 12:00, they arrested 37-year-old Asllan Hoxha while he was setting fire to his home, inside which were his three-month pregnant wife and their 15-month-old daughter. It is understood that Hoxha, for reasons of jealousy and due to financial problems, brutally beat his wife and then tried to burn her alive, with the baby on her chest and the other minor daughter. According to the local police, it was Enkelejda Hoxha who called for help on 129. The above sources clarify that the 34-year-old woman had also reported her husband twice before.
