FOREIGN MINISTRY: HE WAS INJURED IN THE ASYLUM SEEKERS’ CENTER IN SWEDEN 12-year-old targeted by bullets Attempted assassination of Admir Tafili’s son Swedish media: The incident was for revenge. The minor was shot with 3 bullets and stabbed in the neck; he is not in life-threatening condition. MFA: Swedish authorities are reserved By KLODIANA LALA An attempted assassination of the 12-year-old son of Admir Tafili, described as the “brain” behind the spectacular prison escape from Drenova prison in November 2013. The serious incident took place on 31 December 2013 in Sweden, where the minor has been for three years, after leaving Albania with his mother and brother out of fear of the long saga of blood feud. The attempt to kill the minor has been regarded by Swedish media as a possible act of revenge, because of his father’s criminal history, Admir Tafili, who had been sentenced to life imprisonment for the killing of the Nik and Gjoalin Pjetrushi brothers. The Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the serious incident to “GSH”, in which the Albanian minor, who is in Sweden with asylum-seeker status, was targeted. “According to the information given to our embassy in Sweden, the 12-year-old was injured in the camp where he is staying as an asylum seeker. We have no further information.” Continues on page 6
