The former number one of the Central Bank is suspected of the charge of “abuse of office”, linked to the scandal involving the theft of 713 million lek from the State Treasury. Yesterday the prosecution submitted to the Supreme Court the appeal against the former governor, who, since the late afternoon of September 15, has been under “house arrest”, by decision of the Court of Appeal. The Prosecutor’s Office requested that the Appeal Court’s decision be annulled and that the Tirana Court’s decision be upheld, which ordered the security measure of “arrest in prison” ...
