Here are the companies to be handed over to private ownership in the next 2 years By LORENC RABETA In 2014, the Albanian government intends to complete the sale process of 20 companies owned by the state, as well as the remaining shares of the company “Albtelekom”. The data on the planning of this massive privatization have been made public by the government in the “National Plan for European Integration, 2014–2020”. “The privatization process remains a priority, especially in strategic sectors, aiming to attract foreign and domestic capital that will have a positive impact on economic development. The inventory of public assets has been verified and will soon be put online, in order to improve management, transparency and the fight against corruption,” the Council of Ministers writes in the document published in the Official Gazette.
