After the incident, the conflicts with him began, he threatened me By KLODIANA LALA Erjon (Andon) Mehillaj, who is accused of acting as the intermediary for Julian Sinanaj, gave a lengthy statement to prosecutors from the Serious Crimes unit regarding the involvement the contract killer has in other serious crimes. He admitted that he knows Sinanaj, but categorically denied that he was the one who ordered the killing of fisherman Sokol Veizi. In fact, he gave a version completely different from that of the contract killer. “Julian Sinanaj asked me whether I had any problem. I told him about the conflict I had with Sokol Veizi over the property issue. He told me, ‘I’ll get rid of him,’” said Andon Mehillaj, insisting that he would prove before justice that he did not order the killing of the fisherman. Moreover, in his testimony he recounts that after Veizi’s killing, he had a fierce dispute with Julian Sinanaj, who beat him and threatened to kill him so that he would obey.
