The Minister of Environment fines Flamur Bima, Adelina Farrici, and Dash Aliko by 50,000 lekë each By OLA MITRE The Ministry of Environment has fined 137 mayors and commune heads because they have not taken any measures for the collection, removal and treatment of waste. According to inspections carried out by the State Inspectorate of Environment, Forests and Water across the country, it turned out that some heads of local units had violated the measures for integrated waste management, but many other communes and municipalities had not taken any measures to implement the law. For this reason, the heads of these units have been held directly responsible, penalized with fines amounting to 500,000 lekë. Meanwhile, “Gazeta Shqiptare” publishes in full the list of the heads of local units who have been fined, as well as those leaders who received warnings or were assigned additional duties.
