The Ministry of Finance
has opened a fund
of 33 million dol-
lars for the settlement of un-
paid invoices to pri-
vate companies contracted by
the government earlier for
“Gazeta Shqiptare” publishes
the list of the 156 contracts,
under which they have been
settled by the ministry, along
with the names of the com-
panies that carried out the
works or services. The list
also includes the amounts
paid for each contract, the
total of which is 3.2 billion
lek (approximately 33 mil-
lion dollars). The ministry
also informs that all busi-
nesses on the list must take
measures to withdraw the
amounts. Most of the con-
tracts in question are works
carried out for road con-
struction, but there are also
purchases of hospital equip-
ment or office equipment
for institutions. The overdue
debts that the government
owes to businesses in total
have been estimated at 72.6
billion lek, ...
