Justice should also clarify what is happening with my son.” These are the words of Ardian Bitraj’s mother, who is not very keen to speak to journalists about the truth of her son’s story, as he is suspected of being the key figure in the theft of 713 million lek at the Bank of Albania. In a brief account for “Gazeta Shqiptare”, Ardian’s mother says that her son is accused of money having been found in his home as well, which, according to his mother, is not true. In addition to these accusations, Ardian’s relatives are not allowed to visit him in cell 302 prison in the capital. “They do not allow us to visit him. That is what the prosecution has decided,” explains the mother of the former bank employee.
