The new law on “social insurance”, which enters into force on 1 January 2015, provides for an increase in benefits for those individuals who request a postponement of the retirement date. This applies to all those who meet the age and work seniority criteria for an old-age pension, but who ask for the retirement deadline to be delayed. According to the new law, every insured person who has met these conditions will receive an additional amount of 0.5 percent of the pension for each month they postpone retirement.
