THE GJIROKASTËR MP GOES INDEPENDENT, A MESSAGE TO HIS COLLEAGUES CLASH OVER PËRMET Vladimir Kosta leaves PS “I reported Gilberto Jaçe to the High State Control for misuse of funds, and PS elected him mayor of Përmet. I also told Edi Rama, but he did not even bother to listen to me” The local elections are bringing the first signs of discontent within the left. The MP for Përmet, Vladimir Kosta, is leaving the Socialist Party. The reason for his departure is the opposition to the chosen candidate for the Municipality of Përmet, who is to represent the Socialist Party in the June 21 elections. This concerns objections to the left’s candidacy in Përmet, Gilberto Jaçe. According to MP Kosta, he was not asked about this candidacy. On the contrary, those who made the decision, according to him, are Minister Ahmetaj and the deputy head of the parliamentary group, Taulant Balla. Among other things, he adds that the chosen candidate has been accused by the left of misuse of funds. Vladimir Kosta has not accepted being ignored. The deputy from the Gjirokastër district has decided to leave the Socialist Party.
