Southern Albania is under water. According to correspondents in the districts, Gjirokastra, Vlora, Fier, Lushnja, Devoll are blocked because rivers have burst their banks. Osum, Vjosa, Devoll, Gjanica, Shkumbin has overflowed, causing an alarming situation with floods, landslides and damage to the electricity network. The situation is also problematic in the Elbasan county, while it is learned that the Shkumbin river has destroyed the embankment, flooding several houses as well as areas of land. Meanwhile, as a result of the rains, the old bridge linking Elbasan with Cërrik has also been damaged. According to sources from the State Police and the Ministry of the Interior, the situation is problematic in the Fier and Vlora counties. It is learned that in the municipality of Novoselë, the Vjosa river has gone out of control, flooding 300 houses.
