NEW LAW / The Assembly approves the changes, around 5 thousand officials will retire at 60 The functions that are “affected” are revealed; more contributions will be paid The Assembly has recently approved the draft law “On supplementary state pensions for persons who perform constitutional functions and state employees”, which provides for an increase in the retirement age by 5 years. According to the current law By OLA MITRE there are around 220 different functions that benefit from a supplementary pension and until now received it upon turning 55. Meanwhile, according to the newly approved law, these people will retire at 60. On the other hand, the Ministry of Social Welfare and Youth states that there are around 5,000 employees who currently contribute to the supplementary state pension scheme.
