The author’s writing in 1885 was published in an Italian magazine “Nuova Antologia” with the title “Della lingua e della letteratura albanese”. The article is very interesting for the history of the Albanian language and its origin, as well as for the literature known up to that time. According to Ms.
Omari, its translator: “In its essential lines it is very accurate and still stands today, especially now that all kinds of ‘Pelasgologist’ authors have appeared who fantasize about the Albanian language, which we decipher as the mother of all languages in the world”.
