A Turkish-Dutch man faces a 27-year prison sentence after trying to kill the woman he lived with, who had decided to leave him. According to the prosecution, Mujdat Sayan threatened the woman that he would kill her and the children, but his only aim was to make her accept getting back together with him. The threats had become so frequent that on the day of the incident, he appeared in front of her with a knife in his hand and threatened her. To frighten him, the woman, a police officer, drew her service weapon, but Sayan snatched it from her hand and tried to kill her. ... On page 6
