By ORNELA MANJANI Around 4,699 subscribers of the Electricity Distribution Operator will be billed on a flat-rate basis until the end of the year. The Regulatory Body for Electricity has approved the list of subscribers who will be billed on a flat-rate basis and has extended the deadline for equipping these subscribers with meters until the end of the year because the voltage at which the subscribers operate is 150 volts, and meter operation is impossible. “Gazeta Shqiptare” today publishes the first part of the list, which will continue tomorrow. Until the meters are installed, household subscribers billed on a flat-rate basis in Tirana, during the winter period, will be charged for 600 kilowatt-hours per month in the city and 400 kilowatt-hours per month in the countryside. According to calculations, a household subscriber of OSHEE in Tirana will pay 6,840 lekë per month for the electricity bill (VAT is included in the amount), while a resident in the villages around the capital will pay 4,560 lekë per month.
